The Bascule Bridge

This bridge fascinates me.  I've shot it a few times, most recently when I got the chance to get a look inside last year.  I had a little spare time today so I went down to see if I could get anything a bit different.  I was after detail shots, as you see here.  The light was not nice, though - very contrasty.  I think the cross processed feel to the final editing mitigates the harshness.

What a treat it was to be able to get to see inside here last weekend.  The Bascule Bridge was open to the public as part of the Heritage Open Days event.  I've driven through it many hundreds of times and always wondered what went on upstairs.  Now I know.

Regent Road

I was going through Lightroom last night and found these shots from a while back.  It was interesting to see the textures and contrast I'd shot, but not posted before.  So, here they are.
