This is by way of a huge thank you to everyone who sent me messages of support today. You guys really gave me a boost. There really have been too many messages on twitter, by text and elsewhere for me to reply individually. So, thanks to everyone.
I had a really enjoyable time on the plinth. The reaction from people in the square was really positive with lots of smiling, waving and shouting "Hello".
Just awesome.
There will be more to come from today. As I write this I’m on the train home.
